Ford Not Selling Jaguar - yet

Jaguar logoSo what’s up with the talks about Ford selling its Jaguar arm?

For a while back rumors have been strong about the troubled automaker will have the money-losing Jaguar up for sale – but, nope, Ford is not selling Jaguar – at least not yet. The Associated Press reported that the Dearborn automaker has no plans to sell Jaguar, adding though, that plans could change, citing Lewis Booth, chairman of Ford of Europe and vice president of the company's Premier Automotive Group.

Apparently Lewis told industry analysts in a webcast from Paris that Jaguar's status could change as Ford goes through a strategic review of all its assets. This is consistent with previous Ford statements reported in the media on the possible sale of Jaguar and its other Premier Automotive Group brands, Volvo, Land Rover and Aston-Martin.

Last August Ford announced the sale of its Aston Martin brand.
